Hot on the heels of his Conan the Slayer bust comes this sneak peak of sculptor Jeff Scott’s latest vision of the mighty Cimmerian. These exclusive digital images of the still-wet clay master were smuggled out of Scott’s secret lair somewhere in the outskirts of Los Angeles.
Conan.com recently caught up with Jeff Scott at the Comic-Con International in San Diego in July. “For the second bust I felt it was important to show Conan in action,” revealed the sculptor. “The first [piece] showed his strength, now I wanted to see him using it. “
The unique design for the coiling snake was suggested from artwork by Gary Gianni in the Wandering Star’s next Conan collection. “We’ve seen Conan battling giant creatures before—including snakes—so this time we wanted a real Hyborian snake; something extreme, that today’s snakes could be descended from,” noted Scott.
