" You have a good point there,...put your helmet on & no-one will notice it ."
" Look for a long time at what pleases you... and longer still at what pains you "

"Thuria! Clean up your room, it looks like a cataclysm hit it!"
"Atlantis, you're all wet behind the ear."
"Khari, Lemuria is not your slave"
"Cimmeria, you and Pict stop fighting this instant! I don't care who started it."
"No Stygia, you can't have a pet snake."
"Shadizar, you're wicked"

She Who Must Be Obeyed put the mockers on all of my name suggestions, so the Daughter of Darkness was called Lillian. A fine name in and of itself, though as we call her by the diminutive Lilly - several people who know me well have assumed I called her Lilith...chortle.
An example from H. Rider Haggard.

When I hear someone use the name "Conan" it is not Conan O'Brien that comes to mind, even though more likely thats who they are talking about.

The aveage civilized man is never fully alive;he is burdened with masses of atrophied tisse and useless matter.Life flickers feebily in him;his senses sre dull and torpid...In devloping his intellect he has sacrificed far more then he realizes."

He's a strong liitle fellow already at six weeks and has a vicelike grip! I'll be making him a wooden sword for his first toy and one of his earliest photographs (while still in hospital) was grasping my Conan the Warrior paperback in both hands

My son was born on 11th June this year and we have called him Conan
We went through about twenty Old Norse and Saxon names too, but just kept coming back to Conan.
He's a strong liitle fellow already at six weeks and has a vicelike grip! I'll be making him a wooden sword for his first toy and one of his earliest photographs (while still in hospital) was grasping my Conan the Warrior paperback in both handsI'm a proud Dad!!
Congrats man.Yep I see you are starting him off right:)Hey how about posting that pic of him for us all to see:)

Awwww he's so cute
I forsee him growing up to tread the cities of the modern world under his sandled feet, defeating great and mighty enemies on the school play grounds, and becoming President by his own hand.

I like that idea!
As soon as he's old enough he'll be set on the course to greatness!
