You haven't read the books, Konan?! Ah, but you are missing the true, the real Conan. The one and only Robert E. Howard's Conan.

I like Valaria the most out of all the females. She's such a hottie and there is something about a woman who dresses like a pirate.
- welcome Konan !

I agree with El Borak's Lil brother, if you haven't read any actual Conan books (Robert E. Howard's) then you are indeed missing the real Conan. It would behoove you to read them. The old comics were pretty neat but they were just comics. As for books some of the Pastiches were pretty good but nothing compares to the orignal Conan books by Robert E. Howard. The world REH created is a world and adventure of its own and you feel like you are there, etc..

Around here, I think it's fairly well know I'm a big fan of the comics.
(And don't miss out on the new CONAN series starting today!)
But El Borak's Li'l Brother and Freebooter are right. The original Robert E Howard CONAN prose stories are the purest form of the character. And there's a great new book collection starting in December with this cover:

That book that Sat was talking about will be in the book stores in December. There will be a couple of different versions of course. The top of the line of course is a fine gold guilt hardback, with great pics and artwork, both in color and black and white (someone correct me if I am wrong), for around $200.00, which few of us can afford. Then there is the good ole paperback version, for only about $15.00. Anyway, the book is supposedly everything REH ever wrote about Conan, from the beginning to end, I suppose in chronological order, with all of Howard's notes, poetry which he included with a lot of his works, which were edited out a lot in the old days. He reminds me of Tolkien and his poety and songs. The paper back version has a slightly different name I think, but I might be wrong about that. Mine is already on pre-order from Bookland bookstore in my home town. I can't wait!! Like I said, you owe it to yourself to get it and get to know the real Conan, the people and the world in which he lived, the very essence of Robert E. Howard's Hyborean world or what ever you call it.

I'm a new member and I thougt I would introduce myself. I'm a huge Conan fan and I'm also a huge fan of He-man and the Masters of the Universe. I've been a lurker on these boards for a while and I finally decided to join.
