I watched this just today, it's a pretty cool movie. Sometimes the special effects don't look too good though. The bat doesn't talk it's just a pet to him I guess. As Conan fans I think you owe it to yourselves to watch this, it has got to be one of the best fantasy movies in a long time.

SPOILERS BELOW

A few things that are probably inspired by the Conan movie or maybe it was the other way around. Wolfhound's father is a blacksmith and his whole tribe gets wiped out by an army while he is out playing. Wolfhound then gets enslaved, but unlike the Conan movie Wolfhound kills the slavemaster and is granted his freedom. Wolfhound then goes after the people who killed his family and tribe, searcing for the man with a wolf tattoo on his hand (Just as Conan searched for the snake symbols).
