Haven't seen it yet, but it seems as if nowadays there is no such thing as an ongoing Superman series. Instead, there is a sort of cyclical rebooting of his origin story. Then a few years later, they do it again.
Maybe they are conanizing Superman. ![]()

I will shortly be sending my adaptation of The God in the Bowl to my webmeister to add to the Scrolls of Ironhand. I will use this thread to inform you when it actually appears on my website.

I am combining both movies in a single thread, even though I haven't seen After Earth yet, because, looking at the trailers, they both seemed to be the same movie. Humanity dressed in shiny jump suits returning to a post-apocalyptic Earth. One involves a romance, and the other is about a father and son. Both seem to involve a lot of ego on the part of the big name star.
Tom Cruise manages to look continuously noble while getting the holy $6i4 beat out of him. And Jaime Lannister is there.

Did anybody watch Defiance? I don't have much of an opinion yet. To me, it looks like a Western with aliens. Doesn't look much like St. Louis, even if it is ruined. The set doesn't even look like a ruined St. Louis.
