I don't know who'd win, but I'd sure like to see it, preferably in a mud pit.  :D

Haha, I would think Valaria would win.

I am about 1/3 through Hour Of The Dragon for the first time ever.... I absolutely love this story it is probably my top 3 so far, the way Conan kills and fights his opponents brings an actual smile to my face, I even laughed at some parts (am I sick?) I never usually react that way to a book.

"Only in Gunderland is the pure Hyborian stock found unblemished. Thus Gundermen are uniformly compactly-built, tall, tawny-haired and gray-eyed."

That's a quote directly from Robert E. Howard's essay "The Hyborian Age". It's as authorative as anything that you will find.

When REH says "compact" he's usually means "small" but in a complimentary way.

The best tale to read about Gundermen would be "Beyond the Black River" I guess, but "Wolves Beyond the Border" should prove fruitful as well.

Thanks very much, I been skipping around the 3 Del Ray books and those happen to be some that I skipped, I will get to reading and doing some other research.

I suppose information is rather limited and some stuff may be speculation.

Thanks.

Am I the only one that wants to go scuba diving to find my very own Caesar bust? :)
