Reading stuff like Howard, Lovecraft, Tolkien, Asimov, De Camp (heresy I know...but the Incomplete Enchanter was awesome!), George RR Martin, Poul Anderson and Fritz Leiber. I just read my first Harlan Elison story the other day (Deathbird) and it was badass. I will be reading more Ellison. Wheel of Time was not good, and I do not endorse it.<br /><br />Listening to things like Frank Zappa.<br /><br />Watching things like the Daily Show, adult swim and the Science Channel.<br /><br />Doing stuff like Wing Chun kung fu, studying archaeology at Boise State University, and watching my drums collect dust.
