We've had many inter-comic company crossovers:
Superman Vs Spiderman,Batman Vs Punisher,Batman Vs Predator etc.
Isn't it time for some Conan crossovers?
How about Conan Vs Wolverine?I think wolverine would win.

There was a Conan/Capt. America crossover - interesting because Conan knew how to fight against a shield. After quite a battle, Conan escaped.

IMHO, that would also be the result of a fight between Conan and Wolverine. Conan has a history of abandoning hopeless battles. I once read a Wolvie story where he was fighting someone armed with a katana: he simply blocked swordblows with his forearms. The sword could only bite bone-deep against W's adamantium skeleton, and the flesh wounds healed rapidly.
"Did you deem yourself strong, because you were able to twist the heads off civilized folk, poor weaklings with muscles like rotten string? Hell! Break the neck of a wild Cimmerian bull before you call yourself strong. I did that, before I was a full-grown man...!" - Conan, in "Shadows in Zamboula", by Robert E. Howard
"... you speak of Venarium familiarly. Perhaps you were there?"
"I was," grunted [Conan]. "I was one of the horde that swarmed over the hills. I hadn't yet seen fifteen snows, but already my name was repeated about the council fires." - "Beyond the Black River", by Robert E. Howard

- Try to locate Marvel "What If" comic ( Vol. 2 No: 16 , Aug 1990 ) "What if ... Wolverine battled Conan the Barbarian" .
Unless you really want to know , I won't spoil the ending for you ?

I also know of the "What if ... Conan Battled Thor" comic ( No: 39 , June 1983 ) .

Cheers , Danny.

IIRC, and correct me if I am wrong, was there not a "What If..." that had Conan transported to the modern world?

was there not a "What If..." that had Conan transported to the modern world?

Here are all the Conan WHAT IFs that I'm aware of:

WHAT IF vol. 1 #13.
What If: Conan The Barbarian Walked The Earth Today
Divergence: Savage Sword Of Conan 7

WHAT IF vol. 1 #39.
What If: Thor Battled Conan
Divergence: Thor Annual 8 (Thor Travels To Ancient Troy)

WHAT IF vol. 1 #43 (first story).
What If: Conan Were Stranded In The Twentieth Century
Divergence: What If 13 (Conan The Barbarian Walked The Earth Today)-- this is the issue with Captain America

WHAT IF vol. 2 #16.
What If: Wolverine Battled Conan
Divergence: Uncanny X-Men 137 (Wolverine Enters Watcher's Domicile)

There are also some Conan crossovers with Malibu's Rune. I don't have the issues, but I think they occur in CONAN, CONAN THE SAVAGE, and the CONAN VS RUNE one-shot. The one-shot is beautiful, it's all Barry Windsor-Smith art, and Conan is drawn in Barry's "modern" style (if you've ever seen WEAPON X or STORYTELLER, you'll know what I mean when I contrast it to Barry's "classic" Conan of the 1970s).

Ok,so there are Conan crossovers. Now I have whole lot of comics to search for. :(
I've heard of What If comics (I guess it's like those DC Elseworld comics), but what is Divergence?

WHAT IF is very similar to ELSEWORLDS, but it came first and was twice a regular series. 'Divergence' is where the WHAT IF story diverges from the established Marvel continuity. For the Wolverine/Conan issue f'rinstance, you might notice the point of divergence is a pretty important issue in X-Men history. When the second series was getting long in the tooth, they did away with divergences and just told alternate stories without diverging from any established point in Marvel history.

Don't forget that Spider Man also crossed over with King Kull and Red Sonja (though she was admittedly much different form Howard's). Also due to stuff like Atlantis Attacks and the What If...? based on Atlantis Attacks most everyone in the Marvel Universe (or the major players anyway) has battled the Serpent Men.

Also in the What If... Conan Had Walked in the Modern World, the Cimmerian passed Spidey int he street, setting off webhead's spider-sense. Also I have heard that Danette from two of those What Ifs shares a name with the character Firebrand(?) from DC and wa sin fact based on Roy Thomas's wife. Anyone care to comment/elobarate? Danette is part of a profile I should have helped finish ages ago for the Masters of Obscurity.

EPIPHANY!!!

Milius' Conan is simply a What If! "What if Conan's tribe had been wiped out and he had been enslaved as a child?" It's all clear now!

At the time, Roy was dating Danette ... Coutu, I think her last name was, and the Danette of WHAT IF was based on her. Danette Reilly of ALL-STAR SQUADRON is also named after her.

That issue of WHAT IF always puts me in mind of a fumetti strip that ran in the Comic Reader fanzine ... I think it was called "Fandom Confidential," and was set up as a news report in which the anchors would make satirical cracks as they read the comics news, sort of a "Weekend Update" in photo-comics form. One of them was set at a comicon, and in one panel, Roy Thomas walked by, or was said to have walked by. The anchors called after him, "Hey, Roy! What if Conan the Barbarian Walked the Earth Today ... Dating Your Girlfriend?!"

To this day I can't look at that WHAT IF without mentally "completing" the title...

I have the What If: Conan vs. Thor.
Good stuff, but you can't beat a god.
Sucks for our favorite Cimmerian.

Excellent comic in the What If? series from Marvel Comics. I still have mine, even though value wise it isn't worth that much. But to me, it has sentimental value, hehe.

Another Good comic from Marvel was, What if Conan of Cimmeria was trapped inthe 20th Century? Conan as an extortionist, running the biggest gang in New York? He battles Captain America, and wins! What more can you ask for a story!

Can you tell me what issue numbers they were? I have the first one where Conan comes to Modern Earth (and scroggs the girl cab-driver). But I want to see the two you mentioned (as well as the issue where Frank Castle becomes Captain America, but that's another story).

MY favorite "What If.." was Conan versus Wolverine. Conan "killed" Wolverine, but of course he didn't stay "killed". Plus Red Sonja is in it, and Gary Kwapisz did the art.

Thanks for the links, Sat. I didn't know the others even existed, and I call myself a comic book geek, hehe.

Yes, I must have them also!
