King Conan's son gets a taste of women and battle in this tale, I remember. So have 'em fight the army of Lizards In Women's Skins!

Actually it's King Kull who was involved in ongoing battles with the serpent men, and I think he pretty much wiped them out. By the time of Conan, I think, serpent men were rare enough, and feared enough, to be regarded as demons. It has been many years since I read Howard's books in the 70s, but my recollection has Conan fighting Snake People who have infiltrated disguised as normal human folk.

- You're thinking of Lyon deCamp & Lin Carter's Conan pastiche tale "Shadows in the Skull " ( from the pb "Conan of Aquilonia" ) .

... CW , Wrote :
>Conan was involvd in on going fights with High Priests of Set!he was always fighting those minions of Set!
- Sure , but are you implying that Conan actually "encountered" Serpent-men in the original REH Conan tales too , CW ?
>Thulsa Doom ( Isn : as an adversary to Conan ) .
- Thulsa-Doom , within the "Conan Universe" was a contruct of Mr. Milius's lot ( and perhaps elsewhere too ? ) . TD was originally an adversary to REH's Kull ( Delcardes' Cat ) .
>Wrath-Amon(LOL) .
- Me-thinks that you've seen the Conan the Adventurer Cartoon / the associated merchandise !
Cheers , Danny .

Thanks Danny for the pb source heads up for the other authors! I now remember some of the liner notes saying those guys would trawl through Howard's notes and unfinished/unpublished stuff, even to incorporating plot lines from other characters tales.- You're thinking of Lyon deCamp & Lin Carter's Conan pastiche tale "Shadows in the Skull " ( from the paperback "Conan of Aquilonia" ) .
I now want to check out the non chronological timescale of Howard's writings, and spot where those other two authors slotted in stuff. I guess many others have pastiched since then too, but they seem 'closer' as they were my 'first' intro to the whole legend - especially as they were presented alongside Howard's work in that big series of paperbacks!

With the new computer graphics and anamatronics, I would love to see a proper battle between Conan and another giant serpent.

Back when conan.com belonged to Keller (the tv show), someone asked what kind of opponents would give Conan an even fight (this was in response to Ralf Moeller depicting Conan having long duels with single human opponents.
I responded:
Humans: 6 seasoned warriors or 20 random thugs.
Frost giants: 2 at a time.
Demons from Hell: one
Wizards: one at a time provided they aree really powerful, world-class, rock-crushing wizards.
