Oh man , Strom that is a great link , there's a few more pages of peanut-gallery comments about that "Monty" ( as the 'Montauk' sea-monster is now nicknamed ) so before the page even finishes loading I clicked on another picture to see if there was another view of it & I had to seriously turn around from my desk chair & back away from my computer like it had just jolted me with a taser because I was laughing so hard at this comment : .............

A quick google says "nope".Are there any turtle species with teeth in their beaks, though (aside from ones that might possibly be found in the Hyborian Age, I mean)?

Jeff Corwin thinks that it's a dog or racoon.
The lower jaw may be from a different beast than the skull...

What happened to the remains? A simple dna test would solve the mystery. Since there are no remains to be examined, I think that this all could be a elaborate hoax.

False alarm everybody , it turns out the 'gryphon' face was just some debris blocking the creatures real face , when the head was swept off of sand , here's what was underneath.......
