A couple of fellows in Georgia say they have a real-life Bigfoot, in a freezer:

There's a news conference today. I guess we'll find out if it's a hoax or not.

I live in Georgia. If it was found in the North Georgia Mountains, its probably just someone's crazy uncle or brother...or both. :P

Money and muscle, that's what I want; to be able to do any damned thing I want and get away with it. Money won't do that altogether, because if a man is a weakling, all the money in the world won't enable him to soak an enemy himself; on the other hand, unless he has money he may not be able to get away with it.

...Biscardi says that -- under armed guard -- "extensive scientific studies will be done on the body by a team of scientists including a molecular biologist, an anthropologist, a paleontologist, and other scientists over the next few months at an undisclosed location."

That is so suspicious. It sounds less like a scientific inquiry and more like a PT Barnum stunt.
But I'll stay glued, of course!

the North Georgia mountains are scary places to be some times.. Deliverance is less of a drama and more of an anthropological study of some of the towns I've been through..

Funny, the researchers identified the Georgia 'Bigfoot' DNA as human and opossum...

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but didn't they solve the Bigfoot mystery back in the 70s?

They sold a frozen monkey suit filled with animal parts to a Vegas publicity ***** and absconded the night before it was to be examined with maybe $50k cash.

Bravo, gents! A toast of the mead-horn! :P  :D

No way ! It sounds like a big government cover-up to me . It just has to be real , I mean they tested the D.N.A. & it came back as possum DNA & everything - & everybody knows BigFoots are marsupials !!

Asked how he could have been fooled, Biscardi argued that it was hard to tell when the thing was encased in a block of ice.

It may be difficult for Biscardi to claim he was defrauded, as the "24-Hour Sighting Hotline" number posted on Dyer and Whitton's Web site, BigfootTracker.com, asks for tips related to "leprechauns, unicorns, large cats, dinosaurs," as well as "Jimmy Hoffa or Elvis."

Stanford University anthropologist Richard Klein said he was "sorry that my name and Stanford's name have been brought into this."

Maybe there is hope for mankind after all ! <_<

I'm still chuckling over this.

Hell, I wish I'D thought of it first... I would've nick-named the thing 'Thak' and this rogue would've left 'da house' with pockets bulging in cash. I guarantee those good ol' boys are drinking Coronas south of the border with senoritas seated on their laps, laughing and hooting.

He should've understood that "police officer" and "corrections officer" translate as "redneck deputy" and "prison guard."

I just got out my Burman catalog for S.F.X. supplies , & I'm hard at work creating a new 'mer-monkey' like Barnums , I think the markets ripe just about now ! " there's one born every minute ! "

Actually, the one idjit lost his job and they're going to have to spend their $50k on a defense attorney. So...

I think the smartest one of the whole bunch was the frozen ape suit.

If it's genuine: wow!

But it could be a fake. I've searched on the websites of several local newspapers and haven't found any mention of this giant snake.
Though there's an information about another big (not giant) reptile, a 6 meters (20 feet) long crocodile: http://www.brunei-on...ri/feb20h10.htm

Considering the character's celebrated distaste for reptiles, they ought to send Indiana Jones off to Borneo on his next adventure.
A wild moon rode in the wild white clouds,
the waves their white crests showed
When Solomon Kane went forth again,
and no man knew his road.
