Conan And The Balrog !
Posted 09 November 2003 - 01:42 AM
conan ( co ) was stood shivering with fear and cowed with his hands behind his broad back.
as the massive balrog stooped down + opened its huge maw to laugh in his face -
SUDDENLY co threw a big helm from his hands + right down the lava-pipe throat !
the big frost giant's helm was filled with magic ICE from the secret temple of Ymir, deep under the snow devil glacier.
demon fire + magic ice do not mix - - -
so as co ran for cover -
the steaming balrog EXPLODED in a spectacular volcanic firework display that made gandalf's effort in the shire seem like a mere sparkler !
co then collected up all the pieces + made a fortune selling them to the wizards of hyboria - - -
( + to the Lor fans in new zealand ?! )
- - - - -
( i was inspired by 'lair of the ice worm' + the amazing huge balrog in Lor film 1 ! )
well - how would u kill a balrog ??!
what's your fave clever method that conan used to kill a big monster ?
or describe a fictional / fun / what if, fight - like i just did.
i luv conan + hyboria, + i like L o rings + middle earth.
i'm just trying to entertain all u great conan fans + have some fun .
so come on all u mighty barbarian typists + join in the fun.
+ watch out soon for ' conan + the hobbit ' !?
cold kisses from the high priestess of ymir ? * * *
HYBORIAN Limericks + Rhymes
Lots of FUN and serious new RHYMING Hyborian/Fantasy poetry.
"So I took to a life of adventure and daring
leaving most warriors drooling and staring.
After I danced with my exotic flesh baring
I would vanish into the new Sunrise glaring."

Glad to see that you have decided to come and join our warband.
And force upon Mankind the Freedom he fears--
And dead gods I will again defy?"

I resemble that statement!
I think the Hellfires burn pretty well on their own...nice, cozy, flames from natural gas, if I'm not mistaken.
"... you speak of Venarium familiarly. Perhaps you were there?"
"I was," grunted [Conan]. "I was one of the horde that swarmed over the hills. I hadn't yet seen fifteen snows, but already my name was repeated about the council fires." - "Beyond the Black River", by Robert E. Howard
