..there was ctb - a film pastiche?? but that coup failed cos the usurper was a wimpy imposter who wept on the floor...??
the real 'daddy' has yet to be filmed.

king Conan had strict rules - NO new young buxom beauties were to be allowed in his royal harem if they had piercing blue eyes, or thick sword-mans wrist, or if they could lift up a eunoch with 1 hand!??
he did not want to accidentally seduce any of his many unknown female offspring!??
+ any suspected 'bastards' were trained + promoted + well paid + sent to fight on the Pictish frontier. so the poor Picts had no chance of any major success there??

Maybe one could be at the head of a mighty Stygian army, the son being the unholy offspring of Conan and a Stygian sorceress, who had her way with him through sorcery to birth a child of awesome physical power and terrible sorcerous energy. Conan is torn: he is his own flesh and blood, yet he is corrupted by his Stygian upbringing, forsaking Crom for Set?
That'd be really interesting, for a pastiche.
But as I said, I've talked to the folks, and no one is really biting on new Conan books...with him in them anyways.
If this isn't so, lemme know.

Hey, Taranaich! That scenario sounds alot like the tale of Cuchullain and Conn, his son by the Scottish war-witch, Aoife. It also sounds a li'l like Arthur and Modred. Can't have too many Celtic themed stories.

Hah, I KNEW that sounded a little too familiar...
Well, what if it's not one of his sons, but a daughter! Would be a nice sort of twist, and it would have an added resonance with Conan. Perhaps Conan's daughter and Akivasha could form some sort of unholy alliance...

Outside REH's writings, some pastichers gave Conan legitimate and bastard descendants. Don't ask me to list them.

So yes, Conan did have sons, numerous ones (as I imagine); however, all were out of wedlock, and therefore just the bastard sons.
I don’t consider Conn Conan’s true son, because Howard never thought him up.

But my view is this (and I've said it before): Accounting for the number of women he's had, both in the original REH tales and elsewhere (Olivia, Yasmela, Natala, Valeria, Karela, etc.), he had to have left something behind at some point. It's only logical.
The only woman we know of that, for sure, didn't end up with a bun in the oven is Belit, after all (how that was prevented with them roling around below the decks of the Tigress for three years, we'll probably never know).

"... you speak of Venarium familiarly. Perhaps you were there?"
"I was," grunted [Conan]. "I was one of the horde that swarmed over the hills. I hadn't yet seen fifteen snows, but already my name was repeated about the council fires." - "Beyond the Black River", by Robert E. Howard

Alright then, I'll spare you the trouble:
Sons: Conn, Taurus, Canobar, Kang Sho
Daughters: Radegund, Ra Morgana
Conna, Canobar and Ra Morgana sound fine, Taurus ok as a tribute to the Prince of Thieves, but Radegund?

Doesn't sound modern, okay. Nothing wrong with that.

Thanks for listing those. I'll copy and paste them to notepad on my desktop until I find a place to keep them handy.
I, too, like Radegund. It fits the Hyborian Age.
By far the worst name chosen for a Hyborian Age character, though, was Tina.
I use a copy of my RTW descr_names file as a guide for naming in my fanfics.
