I seem to prefer Kings of the Night over every other Kull story, even though KOTN only co-stars him. I find his "performance" in KOTN one of the most memorable xD

I think Kings of the Night is the best story that Kull appears in, but I think The Shadow Kingdom is the best Kull story.

That's close to the way I see it as well, Howard was fully matured as a writer when he wrote Kings and it shows. The Shadow Kingdom is still my favourite Kull though, as Kings of the Night is a Bran Mak Morn tale for me.

Screaming Skull of Silence absolutely nasty story and concept.

a very close second Kings of the Night. :)

Kings of the Night - Gave me chills like few stories have. Especially the final battle.

Kull gets mobbed by D&D in 'By This Axe I Rule' when he goes awesome rage barbarian, and there can not possibly be a more metal S&S title than 'By This Axe I Rule'. It screams for Latverian power metal.

Has anyone encountered the elusive poem 'Road of Kings'? I heard it somewhere, and it sounded like Kull to me.

"By this Axe I rule" is my favorite. I like how Kull was struggling weather he should change a law for the greater good or not. Plus the climax and ending was awesome. Personally, I like it a little better than "Phoenix of the Sword" which was a reboot. However, "The Shadow Kingdom" and "Kings of the Night" are also Kull stories that I cherish.

My favorite is actually the draft of a story with Kull, Brule and the Red Slayers riding to the ends of the Earth, complete with the river Stagus/Styx and the ferryman Charon/Karon... Epic.

Pretty much my feelings exactly though, that said, I did just vote for "Kings of the Night".
