p.s. Got my first tat in June. It's FRAZETTA'S CONAN. It is a half sleeve. I am searching all the old Howard books for more illustrations on how to depict THOTH AMON for my next tat. I already know about the bust that has been released; I'm looking for something from the old works of literatur efrom Howard, NOT the comic-book stuff.

I wouldn't look for any Thulsa Doom pic.s in any Conan books however , he was a sorceror in the Kull stories & I actually don't recall ever seeing any drawings depicting him - except maybe from the old Kull comics .
" You have a good point there,...put your helmet on & no-one will notice it ."
" Look for a long time at what pleases you... and longer still at what pains you "
So THIS is civilization ??!??!......

Can we make this a Halloween costume thread? How many of us are dressing up for the occasion, and what are you going as?

Every year, I think I'll dress up for Halloween, and every year I never get around to making a costume. I suppose it would have been easy to make a reasonable facsimile of a Red Sonja bikini...but it would have been way too cold to wear it!
You could always do it in the summer, take some pictures and post them on the site in November

I'd like to see some pics of you nuts dressed up. How about it?
I love Halloween, always have. My neighbor is on an anti-Halloween crusade. "It's a pagan holiday that glorifies the darkness and the evil inside ourselves!"
My response: "And that's a bad thing?"
What easier way to quash your fear of witches and demons and ghosts than to dress up as them? Makes sense to me. Plus, my other neighbor's hottie wife dresses every year as a French Maid or a Naughty Nurse. One year she was Vampirella.
And that's just a plain treat.

I don't think with my beer gut I'd make a particularly good Conan. Taurus, maybe. It's a shame he meets a sticky end...

NO, you don't get to see the picture. Me, I did the Demon Lawyer thang. The glue on full front mask, horns and bumps, a long mass of gray hair down the back and over the shoulders, with a full dignified suit and tie. Scared the bejezus out of several children, got lots of compliments.
Strangly, the folks that know me said they didn't notice I was wearing any mask. They so funny.

My wife dressed up as a Barbarian Babe, with a enormous plastic sword, oh yeah! She does fur and chain mail all right.
