All flatlanders are soft and frail, I enjoy those qualities in their women.

I'm expecting my turn to come today by CROM! I have 3 invasions going down and 3 different countries trying to assassinate my court!
The game is still going, and has an active community at the following places:

Unfortunately, it's kind of expensive if you think about it. But the price depends on the size of the country you play.
Small: $5/turn
Medium: $7/turn
Large: $9/turn
Games run in fast mode, which is 14 day turnaround and slow mode, which is 28 day turnaround.
Each game runs about 27-32 turns I suppose.

Mmmm... not sure.. probably 10-15.. I used to play only the slow games.. which can take 2-3 years to complete.. then I didn't play at all for several years...
Favorite kingdom was Corinthia, which has a solid army, and a few nice agents to assassinate nobles in Nemedia with. I want to play Zamora and Turan though, as I have notyet played either.
I've never won a game.. but I've placed top 10 a few times. Kingdoms I've fought include Zembabwei, Nemedia, Aquilonia, Ophir, Tombalku, Juma's kingdom, etc.

Check out the websites and join up! The amount of strategic contemplation required before making your command decisions is interesting enough for most armchair generals.

Yea, that would be a bummer.I enjoyed playing it until a turn that made absolutely no sense made me give it up (well, after that campaign anyway). I was playing Vendhya, and one of the goals was control of Secunderam (I think that was the name) and Turan was also after it. I had a superior army AND Conan showed up to lead them! I should have wiped Turan off that part of the map - but apparently a bribe was paid and my armies withdrew!!!!!!! Wasted Conan and missed out on my goal. I was not pleased

I am currenlty playing in HW 780 as Kosala. Its a weak country, militarily but strong diplomatically. What makes this kingdom interesting is that Im sorrounded by the greatest military powers in the game. Somehow they all agreed to ally withe me and I am comfortably growing stronger and stronger. At first I ended up at war with Turan and managed to surprise him and snatch a key province from him. after some real-life emailing etc we became allies.
Im on turn 10 now and am going to achieve my imperial goals within the next 6 turns. Then Vendhya better watch out becasue its gonna be time to liberate those wealthy provinces and add them to the emerging Kosala empire. Jaya Sri Rama, The Lord of Kosala.
