I know REH wrote some mythos fiction, however I've not been able to find a clear answer as to wether REH considered Conan's earth (Hyborian world of course) to be part of the Cthulhu mythos or not.

I think REH does give some hints about links- Yogah sounds very much like a creature from the Mythos, his flying through the depths of space to reach Earth is pure Lovecraft. The titles of some of the Conan stories i.e. 'The Snout in the Dark', 'The pool of the black Ones' etc echo Lovecraftian tales.

This is just my own opinion so please do not quote me.
I belive that Howard did never considered his setting to be part of Lovecraft's Mythos.
Howard was writing his own stories and was focused on keeping them consistant within their own setting. I doubt that he would have been able to do this if he needed to check HP's new stories every couple of months.
Now, HPL and REH did write to each other on a frequent bases, and it is not beyond reason for the both of them to use concepts and elements of each others stories.
Howard, we know, wrote several stories in which he created new creatures that have been added to the Cthulhu mythos, and may have well had some additional thoughts about how he could add additional elements into future products.
Lovecraft used the idea of ancient civilizations in several of his works. In fact, the story "Shadow Out of Time", makes a couple of passing mentions to material created by Howard.
Another factor that makes it unlikely that any attempt to create a consistant history between HPL and REH's writings is in Lovecraft's own work.
HPL never thought of his stories as being a single body of work. To him each story was its own work and just happened to include material from other works to help give it shape.

Found this article;
http://kingsofthenig....com/mythos.htm
Makes some good points on the Lovecraft/Howard combinations.
The only problem that I have is that he uses the edited texts of the original stories. and, he starts off by calling Conan a "red-skinned" hero!
