If they cock up Kings of the Night I will be dusting off my passport and blood will be spilled.

Luckily, Roy Thomas did a good adaptation of KotN for DHC about 20yrs ago. :)

Dark Horse should just reprint Roy's version, in order to prevent all the needless bloodshed.

Tex
(think I'll just stick with the reprints, so as not to encourage new Jonesian drivel)

Well, maybe that's what Savage Sword is partially for :)

As I mentioned on the other thread, I actually would've liked Scott Allie to take a shot at a full story (Rattle of Bones really doesn't count), but that decision's been made. We can hope for the best, though I think the mix and match of RS & SITS doesn't seem like the right way to go. Just a straight 4 issues of Red Shadows, thank you.

Oh Jeez, oh Cheese!

Men will die for this.
"Did you deem yourself strong, because you were able to twist the heads off civilized folk, poor weaklings with muscles like rotten string? Hell! Break the neck of a wild Cimmerian bull before you call yourself strong. I did that, before I was a full-grown man...!" - Conan, in "Shadows in Zamboula", by Robert E. Howard
"... you speak of Venarium familiarly. Perhaps you were there?"
"I was," grunted [Conan]. "I was one of the horde that swarmed over the hills. I hadn't yet seen fifteen snows, but already my name was repeated about the council fires." - "Beyond the Black River", by Robert E. Howard

Read my Conan screenplays at The Scrolls of Ironhand (in particular my transcription of THE FROST GIANT'S DAUGHTER in Act II of "The Snow Devil") at

I had that issue with the Roy Thomas adaptation, but it went a long time ago (along with my Jack Kirby Thor 'Ring Cycle' comics    ) when I was having a period of not reading comics.

Am I right in thinking it was in the same editions as the Witch Shall be Born adaptation? If not, can someone point me in the direction of the correct ones because I'm occasionally treating myself to the SSoC adaptations. Got the set of PotBC and it forced me to reassess my views of Buscema (although I still contend he could be hopeless at times)
'why does he have to be a misfit? Why can't he be handsome and kind?'

'You're still a dreamer girl'.

Which story are we talking about, we've got so many titles in the mix, I've lost track! Witch was in SSOC #5, PotBC was in #16-#19, KOTN was in #41-#42, Red Shadows was in color in Marvel Premeire #33-34...think that covers the main ones we were talking about.
