I'll be getting this one; looks pretty good save for the fur boots.

Yeah - those look like moon boots! Is this a full size statue? Any links? Thanks!

EDIT:

Preorder: Conan The Barbarian Statue

Created by legendary author, Robert E. Howard, Conan the Barbarian has become legendary within the comic/fantasy art world. Clad in leather, forged iron, and animal skins, the great warrior is armed with weapons capable of the total destruction of any foe. This fabulous statue is fully approved and licensed by Paradox Entertainment. Descending a jagged barren mountainside, Conan wields his massive weapon as he targets his quarry for the kill. Designed and sculpted by William Paquet, and influenced by the great genre artists such as Frank Frazetta and John Buscema who gave Conan his signature look. The statue is hand-painted, cast in polyresin and comes in a handsome collector's box. The figure is 14" tall, and extremely limited in a numbered edition. Another stunning statue from Quarantine Studio.

SKU: OCT101596
Regular Price: $225.00

I dunno...this one just doesn't do anything for me. <_<

I'm eagerly awaiting Sideshow's Conan: The Prize polystone statue however.

Yeah. looking it over again it's not very good for the price.
Did Sideshow ever address the brown eyes thing? I've been noticing the brown eyes in a lot of artist depiction of Conan lately.

With due respect to those involved in the creation of this statue, I have to say that it's just horrible. Looks like a rush job of an afterthought.

The anatomy of the face is completely off, particularly around the mouth/jaw area, like it used to have a different face, and they only changed part of it. Conan looks like he forgot the Polident, and is about to lose his false teeth, or has stunted gums or something. Or is wearing a mouth guard that looks like teeth.

The boots make him look like some male model from the '70's.

On the plus side, the physique is quite well done, but with everything that's wrong with the piece, who cares?

I agree, the only thing going for this is the physique. The boots are ridicules.

Nah, the Sideshow piece has brown eyes unfortunately. I'm kinda miffed that they didn't correct that before production. I mean, really, how hard can it be to get the right eye color. Otherwise, it's pretty damn awesome, IMHO.

Oh, and in the interest of full disclosure, their Conan the Barbarian PF figure doesn't have nipples either. Go figure....
