Hi all

Just noticed this morning that Wandering Star are having a stock clearance on eBay. I picked up the two ultra edition conan's for ?175.

In addition to the conan books, there were also copies of ultimate triumph and bran mak morn.

I used the buy it now on the Bran book,then saw it is the trade ed. Could buy that one in the US for less (or a signed one yesterday off ebay for $167 over 100 dollars for the trade isnt great,plus UK shipping cost sucks.
The however the Conan are a great deal.

Yeah that **** happens. Same thing almost happened to me. I ended up getting the Conans only. Great value for money.

OK so I am trying to get 7 books from wandering star.It looks like shipping is going to be about $200 to ship
Man that bites. I could almost fly over and bring them back.
It looks like the pound is going to be around $1.25 this summer.I may just go to the UK then.If I do I am coming back with books.

Sounds like a good, although expensive, excuse to go.

I ended up buying 8 WS books....They came in...nice books,got a few extras of conan 1 and 2.(good4 trade)
One book was missing,WS said they would make it right.
Also after a good wait...my S.t. press leatherbound Kull came in too...sweet.

You went for the leather Kull edition? I want pics! I have sort of quit on Subterranean, because of a few poor experiences that were not up to standard. However, they are publishing the collected stories of Phillip K. Dick, and that I couldn't pass up on.

Would have bought the artist conans but I spent $341 after shipping on the Kull a few days before.
I will add pictures of the kull ...to show us your howards thread....might be a day or two.
It is nice but not worth it.

I managed to snag volumes #1 & #2 @ $80 per book shipping included - not a bad deal at all. Last year I picked up the leather-bound Bran Mak Morn (contributors copy - letter G - one of 18), Solomon Kane leather-bound, and a copy of the Kull leather-bound edition.

The only complaint I have with Subteranean is that, with the Kull book they decided for economys sake to place all the color paintings together at the rear of the book instead of thoughout the stories. To me, this just didn't jive with their statement that they would equal or better the quality of the Wandering Star books.

Now to find the elusive Conan #1 leather-bound edition to complete my collection.

Not a bad catch. And all things considered, that's not bad for the leather Kull, wasn't $400 before shipping originally?

Just curious, but did Conan #3 sell out? I never see it for sale. I already have a copy but I was wondering if any one knew about it.

I see the conan 3 but they are $$$..it is also not the first print (see The Conquering Sword of Conan by del rey)it kind of kills the value.I will buy one one day....they only printed a 1000.
I dont expect I will own the Solomon Kane ws....that thing runs around $1750 so I bought the del rey

Skullface - I paid $300+ for the Kull and $600+ for the Bran Mak Morn (I wasn't even aware that a lettered edition existed until I saw this book for sale). After I paid for the Bran book I asked the seller if he had any other leather WS books. He said he had one copy of the Kane and would take $750 for it - I couldn't pay fast enough.

But they only did 50 I told myself!

Kane for 650 you are killing me..
I just saw a l.b. hp lovecraft online for $18 never get a howard for that.
