What works is less "proposing" and more filming.

You can re-use that flame render when you do Scarlet Citadel, and HotD.
"Did you deem yourself strong, because you were able to twist the heads off civilized folk, poor weaklings with muscles like rotten string? Hell! Break the neck of a wild Cimmerian bull before you call yourself strong. I did that, before I was a full-grown man...!" - Conan, in "Shadows in Zamboula", by Robert E. Howard
"... you speak of Venarium familiarly. Perhaps you were there?"
"I was," grunted [Conan]. "I was one of the horde that swarmed over the hills. I hadn't yet seen fifteen snows, but already my name was repeated about the council fires." - "Beyond the Black River", by Robert E. Howard

Man a dream come true tbh to do such a massive project! But then again, once I get this baby sorted with the brother (we are like the gallagher brothers when working together!! Oasis), I would love to undertake one of my fav stories that would be Red Nails.

http://www.conanredn.../site/film.html

There is enough talent here to do a 3D animation seqeunce, each taking a piece of the story and fitting it together, to make a fan version? :) Actually why not intermix live acting with 3 d scenes!!

That's where u come in Iron, we need a scene breakdown so we can then dish each scene out to the Cromrades for them to shoot in whatever medium and return it to here to get processed. Any directors out there with the processing power? lol

Are you talking about Red Nails? That's a lot of work for something that was already about 75% done by the pros.

Yeah true, but was thinking more along the lines of a scene being taken by one person and chopping something together like they did with the Star Wars parody. Different scenes joined into one fan film, would be fun in the making though.

Like this one: link

Also they dont have to be all bad, like this great attempt at Bonan the Barbarian ;)

Interesting find, Dave! I recognize the plot of that second clip. It's the intro quest from the Age of Conan MMO, which in a moment of weakness (and boredom) I tried back in the day. At first, I was confused why the rest of the video wasn't on YouTube. Then I did a web search and learned it was the first part of a porn video. Oh. <_<

For anyone interested in my endeavours to get REH Poem Miser's Gold finished, have a look at recent pics and test to try and keep it realistic as can be for animation.

Enjoy fans.

I just wish we had a healthy median of fan stuff for other Cromrades to enjoy, but I will try and add to this someday with my own attempts! :)
I am so jealous of the Star Wars fan films and LOTR;s.....arrghhh. ;)

I've got to say, I don't like those enormous pecs. They go far, far beyond "massive chest".

I think he can claim artistic licence on this one, or say it is based on Arnold, but Arnold never had pecs that size....did he? :) But the rest of it is pretty entertaining for amature attempt at Conan, but I wish he had read the source material instead of the Melius movie version.

I came across some great Conan stuff on the web, Kortoso have you not told us something about your movie? :)

Atali is awsome btw. ;) and the giants.....

I listened to it while doing emails and some animation. Would you not consider doing his stories as podcasts btw, your sounds and music and editing together was also great without the film. HAve you done any work in audio stories as I would sign up to this any day cromrade!

It's coming along. People have things called "real lives" - I have heard of this disease. ;)

It does seem that many of the poems would be good for short little videos. Doing some of these would go a long way to raising interest.

When I talk of animating a Conan story, I refer to the quality of this video for Age of Conan.

Terrific quality and action and score to make the recent movie take note of what could've been: Conan vid
