a most welcome suggestion. i've two things to say:
1: as i see it, either classic animation or rotoscope ( as in "fire and ice") are two methods that lend themselves well to the richness of howard's works.
2: if a production company will be established i'll do all i can to make a donation to it.

I've been thinking about this for years. I haven't gotten around to it since I don't want any copyright holders come kicking down my door. Of course, my take on something written by REH would most probably NOT be of any commercial value at all, pure amateur stuff. But any property owners might not see it that way. Any thoughts around this issue?

My bro and I are working on Miser's Gold by Howard, his poem. Taking it from 2D to 3D, we are near finished on textures and design, just finishing the frames and steps, probably be another few months to do a 3 min film. have a few shots and vids to share for now. Enjoy cromrades.

Given the number of fan made HPL movies and the reception they receive at film festivals and conventions, I see no reason why REH should not receive the same love.
Warrior's excellent work, shown above, and the number of versions you can find on youtube of "Cimmeria" show that Howard canbe adapted to short films and interpertations.
Myself, if I had the resources to do it, would love to do a version of the poem, "Recompense".

I have noticed so many endeavours out there by amateurs trying to get their own together, but the reality is they are too centred and done by a small group. You would need a central hub for this, as a forum like this our website with trusted members to open an account for REH productions and then get the talented guys here to bring their stuff to the table to discuss and then allocate the funds. I find that when the motion gets going in the right direction, the bricks pile up and it comes to a halt at times.
Also considering how long it takes to do animation, my bro and I have been at a short REH film for over a year and it is still way off. Sometimes the cheapest route is the longest arrgghhhh
But I'm up for anything.
We could even do our own version of Conan from many sources like the Star Wars fan film or the zombie film done over the net? We have the talent here for that no doubt.
