Thought I would share the images for all the posters for the new Conan movie. I already have the first 2 advances, as soon as the character posters are available, I'll have them too!

Nice! I like the feel of the characters, though the red-haired woman kind of looks a little alien....Khalar Zym looks more bad-ass than Wilt Chamberlain though!
If Woody had gone straight to the Snowhawk Clan, this would never have happened.

they seem a little die happy with khalar's troops lol. i had to look, because at first I thought they used the same photoshop layers in the conan and corin posters.

not bad though.

kind of ironic that they are using these to introduce characters.
"I live, I BURN WITH LIFE, I love, I slay, and am content."
"Here's to brother Painbrush, we drink to his Shade..."
"All Art Is Martial"- RZA

"Our basic purist premise:
ROBERT E. HOWARD, ENTIRELY ALONE, WITHOUT ASSISTANCE FROM ANY OTHER PERSON, CREATED THE CHARACTER CONAN OF CIMMERIA. NO OTHER PERSON OR PERSONS SHOULD BE INTRUDING THEIR WORK INTO THE VOLUMES OF HOWARD'S CONAN STORIES.
In essence, we believe that the work of any creative artist -- writer, painter, illustrator, musician, what-have-you -- is a unique expression of an artistic point of view. It should not be appropriated or altered by others without the artist's consent. No other writer has Robert E. Howard's unique point of view, and no other writer knows what Howard would have done with his character had he lived. Upon his death, his canon, the expression of his artistic vision, became fixed. Tampering with it now is desecration."

I like the new one for Conan. The one for Marique is very . . . strange.
"It is more than a mortal sea. Your hands are red with blood and you follow a red sea-path, yet the fault is not wholly with you. Almighty God, when will the reign of blood cease?"

Turlogh shook his head. "Not so long as the race lasts."

One of my friends went to the Cannes festival and got a PRE-RELEASE backlit 40"x30" doublesided poster of Conan standing on skulls , which was the first official poster for the movie. IT was at Nu Image's stand (formerly knwon as Nu Boyana)
It only says "August 2011". Being a prerelease I'd wager it's a collector's item.

It's made of matte plastic in front and the back is translucent white, to dim the halogens so as to not see the lamp distinctly.

He posted an ad and some pics of the poster on conanmovieblog but it's sad to say, the guys over there pass a lot of time arguing over petty things , I thought I'd lend a hand to my friend who's not a member here and post two lines to help him sell his convention poster. Too bad since it's a very well documented blog, the responsible is doing a good job .
I'm not really fond of the graphic representation of the poster, but it's true that it's quite impressive to see a backlit poster in your room when you place a 60W bulb behind it in the dark, you feel like you're at the Cinema, going down the alley and looking at the backlit illuminated posters on the walls, placed in their glass frames.

An ad has been posted also at the Completist site, this time by my friend himself (under the pseudo "Y" ).
There was a -holographic- poster as well at the same Nu Image stand but he didn't manage to get his hands on it. According to what he told me, it featured Conan sword in hand with warriors surrounding him, which corresponds to the second Conan 3D poster I've seen on this forum.

If someone's interested here, just tell me and I'll notify him .

Here are the links to the pics taken with a samsung phone:

As we no longer have a "Hyborian Marketplace" I suppose this is as good as any.

I really like the "Born on the Battlefield" Conan poster, it's very Frazetta-esque in its composition.

Do the characters ones "connect" together like the Tron Legacy posters did? Or are the backgrounds just really similar?

That is a fine poster. :) The marketing guys have sliced a few shots, but this is not one of them.
A wild moon rode in the wild white clouds,
the waves their white crests showed
When Solomon Kane went forth again,
and no man knew his road.

Except for Marique, that's a pretty good poster.

That's pretty awesome! I know they aren't releasing toys for this movie but I hope the posters will at least be on sale somewhere.

That poster really is excellent. And on the topic of "toys" - I'd love it if someone made and published a Conan Tarot deck with Frazetta-type artwork. Not a toy, but I think the artwork and the characters would lend themselves well to that concept.

Dude, that's pretty darn cool! Did they have runners-up or anything? Was your entry at least one of those?

Well done, I say.
