I´m here for the wenches. And the swordplay. *cough*
Seriously, I´ve always been a fan of fantasy and of hard-boiled detective fiction, and Howard´s Conan is where the two meet. "Conan the Existentialist", to borrow a term of Charles Hoffman´s, fascinated me from the start. Would love to share ideas (and lock horns) with other literature enthusiasts here.

Takes a little longer, sometimes... I´ll err on the side of courtesy and suppose a "measure twice, cut once" approach with the verification process?
Simply a matter of nobody with the tools to validate. Fixed now. (should've joined sooner

Greetings everyone!
I waited for account activation for 19 days and I would like to thank Kortoso and Eddie Retournard for help.
Longer waiting means I am more happy to join these forums
I am from Poland, Europe, by the way.
Chris aka Grey
Great to have you, Chris.
BTW, we've had a lot of members from Poland over the years. Here's the "Conan in Polish" thread:

He folks, newcomer from the frigid wastes of Canadia here. I love Robert E. Howard's writing, I love heavy metal. I love it even more when those two things are mixed together. I have a band that takes inspiration from REH and his contemporaries. Maybe I'll post some of the lyrics and whatnot one of these days.
Welcome, Element0s! Feel free to share your lyrics in the Fan Area, as we'd enjoy reading them.

Like the Doc, I've been a fan since 82, and have been actively hunting your works down ever since. Your posts on the late-and-much-lamented Cimmerian were always a large slice of AWESOME, and I'm glad you continue the tradition over at TGR.
ALWAYS glad when a Howard Scholar (and yeah, you ARE, as "The Blood and The Fire: Two Sinister Jewels or the Same One?", amongst MANY other pieces, proves) joins us on the Forum.
Welcome, Sir, and I look forward to seeing you 'round these parts!
Tex
(Hey gang--Keith Taylor's here! YEAH!!!)

Greetings, everybody! Keith Taylor here ... VERY new member on the REH Forum. But a big fan of REH's writing, which means I belong here. Some contributions to "The Cimmerian" while it was active, and "REH: Two Gun Raconteur" have had some people referring to me as a Howard "scholar". Can't claim it. I don't know that much. But I love his talent for storytelling and his feel for history, even when he was constructing a pseudo-history like The Hyborian Age. Glad to be aboard.
Huge welcome to you, sir!

I'm so glad you joined up. I'm looking forward to reading your posts -- that is if you have time between writing fiction and the articles you do for TGR.
Welcome!

I have been lurking for a while and recently decided to actively participate.
My hope is to learn more about the great works of REH and hopefully understand the tales better.
