Don't like the chronological order, Phoenix should always be the first to be read IMO. Dislike the titles as well.

Well the older versions [ Chronicles ] will I guess still be out there so there will be a choice.

I would assume so , don't forget these books were originally OK'd by the old CPI and were put together without the original Del Rey texts being available. It's a shame that sfter this time there's been no agreement between Paradox,Del Rey and Gollancz to use the same texts.

Oh man don't get me started on the cover choice of the pommel from the Father's sword from Conan the Barbarian 1982 film or the lame choice of title either referring to the Conan the Destroyer 1984 film, or the movie adaption book 1984 of the same name by Robert Jordan or even his pastiche Tor Conan the Destroyer 1984 none of which have aught to do with the Howard stories therein. Conan the Indomitable is another stellar choice in titles perhaps referring to the worst Tor pastiche writer ever Conan the Indomitable 1989 Steve Perry.

I agree the time is always right to revisit Robert E. Howard's classic stories. I don't think I am alone in thinking the 2011 film was not a success however. I see that these books are using the non-Howard titles of JEWELS OF GWAHLUR, and THE SLITHERING SHADOW. What chronological order are they presented in? If the order is as listed in the teaser about each book granting that there are still "A selection of other tales and fragments" not listed it would not conform to Joe Marek's Some Comments On Chronologies In Regards To The Conan Series or Dale Rippke's The Dark Storm Conan Chronology. Possibly it does follow A Probable Outline of CONAN’S CAREER by P. Schuyler Miller and Dr. John D. Clark with the unpublished tales thrown in.
