I've been away for a couple of weeks, so if there is already a thread for this rather obvious topic, please can someone move it.

Still, I just had to take 5 mins off work and find somewhere quick to post a link to this Guardian review which contains this rather provocative statement (which surely deserves some comments!):

...the Conan upgrade is entirely in keeping with the spirit of the original pulp novels and comic-book spin-offs – all of which shone a similarly inquisitive light on those learned genre tenets of gore-porn and what scholars refer to as "teen-masturbatory erotica".

(The writer counts L. Sprague de Camp's pastiches as "original", but this drivel is insulting even to his version of Conan!)

Frankly, a comment that dumb doesn't deserve my effort to make a comment. If some moron thinks I'm a wanker because I enjoy Conan and other pulp, they can go $&@ themselves.

If nothing else, some of the comments are worth reading simply for the comedic laughability.

does anyone know if the contract was signed for a two movie deal? I'm thinking like the highlander films, i remember reading many years ago that when that made that they were all locked into a two movie deal , and they had no choice but to do the second film. they even say they try to ignore the second film like it never excited . so i am wondering if there could be something like this with JM and the conan film.
