Fellow REH fans,

We worked hard on the Conan movie for years, so the realization that it is not as well received as we hoped is a bit like taking a beating from Steve Costigan. However, without losing any speed we continue to work on all the other REH films we've got in the making – Kull, Dark Agnes, Pigeons from Hell and Vultures – all in different stages of development. And, with no less enthusiasm than before, we will work with our licensees to bring more REH to the people in all shapes and forms.

If that's not enough to keep ourselves busy, during the past year Paradox has stepped into the co-production arena and has been involved in movies featuring, among others, Robert De Niro, Forest Whitaker, Bruce Willis, Josh Duhamel, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, and, particularly well-known to REH fans, Vincent D'Onofrio. We also work as licensing agents for other property owners such as Starz (Spartacus), BBC (Torchwood), NBC/Uni/SyFy (Alphas, Eureka, Warehouse 13, Battlestar Galactica) and NuImage’s The Expendables (Sylvester Stallone).

Considering all of that, I'd better get back to work...

A good attitude! Sorry this iteration of Conan didn't go as planned, but I'm still eager to see Bran Mak Morn and Dark Agnes on the screen! Thanks for the update!

Best,

Scott

Given the lack of quality control you've displayed in your recent projects, I'd rather you move upward rather than onward.

I would say, shelve big screen Conan for now. Spartacus and Game of Thrones have shown that the small screen might be a better place for the character. That's my opinion, anyhow.
"It is more than a mortal sea. Your hands are red with blood and you follow a red sea-path, yet the fault is not wholly with you. Almighty God, when will the reign of blood cease?"

Turlogh shook his head. "Not so long as the race lasts."

I've read on two non-anglophone sites that Paradox and CPI were maybe giving the Dark Agnes project to Christophe Gans, the person responsible for the videogame (remember the Soulcalibur sword at the end) & kungfu (Dacascos was delivering a few roundhouse kicks and backflips) styled mess called "brotherhood of the wolves".
I hope it's just a false rumour, could you confirm this to be so, Jay?

By the way, Curtis "50cent" Jackson is one horrible actor, his latest movie with Bruce Willis is a sorry piece of junk, not to speak of his past "movies".
How could Paradox announce all trumpets out that they've coproduced movies with 50cent? Is this supposed to encourage Conan fans?

Onward, why not, Jay, but without Marcus Nispel, without Avi Lerner and his ex-Golan Globus pals, and avoiding to hand future projects to people such as Christophe Gans, unless you wish to see something that will bomb at the box-office even harder than Conan 2011 and make the fans angry as hell.

Just ignore the fact that Conan "was received poorly" and make something worth positive reception. Don't give into Hollywood. Those idiots don't care about the material. This much is clear. Thanks for chiming in though, good to know you guys are watching.

BROTHERHOOD OF THE WOLF is one of the best fantasy movies ever and Christophe Gans is a very good director. But yeah...no kung-fu in DARK AGNES please.

live , love, slay ....and learn from this. I really liked the movie for what it's worth but solely for what it is ...a fun B cult/pulp movie version of Conan.Keep Momoa on board if the things go well , it wasnt his fault and don't take any wooden nickels lol. best of luck and I look forward ( cause i am an optimist) to see what you do with Kull.

Don't be a follower, be a leader. You go right ahead and reinvent or invent a whole new medium. It's done all the time.

You got good material, just be confident in it.

I thought Brotherhood of the Wolf was completely ridiculous (hot chicks though). We had enough kung-fu already in Conan3d.

I really hope to see more Conan in the future. I agree on points previously made: Definitely would like to see Momoa move forward as Conan. Possibly, move Conan to the small screen, like HBO or Starz. Direct adaption’s a must!
