Based on the responses to the new Conan movie I was wondering how many people are planning on buying the DVD when it comes out? I thought the movie was good enough that I'd buy the DVD at the right price. It would be fun to watch every now and then. Anyone else?

When it comes out? No I think not. It is not worth paying 20 bucks or more. When it hits the 5 dollar bin at Walmart sure why not that is as much as a hamburger around here.

Honestly, I never care to see it again. I do watch "bad" S&S films because I think they are fun. This just wasn't fun for me. So, no. Unless it happens to have some Conan documentaries or something as special features. And I don't mean documentaries about this film. Even then I'd wait for the bargain racks.

I probably would only get it in the 5 buck bin to further evaluate and belittle it with a scathing scrutiny and for comparison to CTB arnold and for the sake of completeness (I own Conan the Destroyer and Red Sonja)
I would say because my rants are well known to my friends it will likely show up as a gag Christmas or Birthday gift.

I'll buy it and put it on the shelf next to CTB82. I will have a different shelf reserved for Conan DVD's should I live so long.
"Did you deem yourself strong, because you were able to twist the heads off civilized folk, poor weaklings with muscles like rotten string? Hell! Break the neck of a wild Cimmerian bull before you call yourself strong. I did that, before I was a full-grown man...!" - Conan, in "Shadows in Zamboula", by Robert E. Howard
"... you speak of Venarium familiarly. Perhaps you were there?"
"I was," grunted [Conan]. "I was one of the horde that swarmed over the hills. I hadn't yet seen fifteen snows, but already my name was repeated about the council fires." - "Beyond the Black River", by Robert E. Howard

I'll gladly buy it...

For $3 from Big Lots.

I'll buy it and place it next to Solomon Kane and Fire and Ice. I also hope an extended or director's cut will be released shortly after, and I'll buy that too.

I’ll buy it. Surely they’ll have an extended cut, or at the very least deleted scenes. An overview of Howard, the Hyborian world and Conan would be good.

At some point, just to give my dad an opportunity to see it. Though he may end up stumbling onto it when it hits cable next year.

While I don't think I could really stand a second viewing of the film itself, I'm mildly interested in the special features: interviews, concept art, deleted scenes, whatnot.

I'll be buying it. What the heck, I found some things about it enjoyable, and I have an REH collection that insists on being fed.

I'll buy it ,even though I didn't like the film ,for any extras on it . I'll probably wait for it to hit the bargain bins though.
