I have read about these guys. I saw the show last night and it wass exacty like I thought it would be. The lead guy-Charlie , i believe is kind of an ass. Having read an interveiw with him over a year ago I expected it. My son was watching the show with me and he hates that guy as well. That aside, it was a little interesting and somewhat entertaining. Wey will see how the whole thing pans out.BTW, I was at the Sonora Celtic Faire when those guys were jousting. Overall not as much fun in person. I am waiting to see Jeff Hedgecocks group. They are more into the period look and feel , rather than just being macho-bikers on horses. He runs the Tournament of Phoenix, which actually has people from all parts of the world involved.

I hope it leads into longsword dueling. Now that would be hot.

From what I understand, they(Knights Mayhem) only do mounted lance.

There's no chivalry. They're like pro wrestlers on horses with armor and lances.
"Did you deem yourself strong, because you were able to twist the heads off civilized folk, poor weaklings with muscles like rotten string? Hell! Break the neck of a wild Cimmerian bull before you call yourself strong. I did that, before I was a full-grown man...!" - Conan, in "Shadows in Zamboula", by Robert E. Howard
"... you speak of Venarium familiarly. Perhaps you were there?"
"I was," grunted [Conan]. "I was one of the horde that swarmed over the hills. I hadn't yet seen fifteen snows, but already my name was repeated about the council fires." - "Beyond the Black River", by Robert E. Howard

It's hard to claim that you're the "world champion" of anything when your field is about a half-dozn. And there are quite a few more groups around the world that joust as well.
