The exciting details available at Tor.com!

Sword and Sensibility: Conan Creator Robert E. Howard’s Lesser Known Collaboration

I for one demand publication of the entire manuscript forthwith.

(And thanks to Taranaich for pointing this out to me)

"It is more than a mortal sea. Your hands are red with blood and you follow a red sea-path, yet the fault is not wholly with you. Almighty God, when will the reign of blood cease?"

Turlogh shook his head. "Not so long as the race lasts."

Too late at night to try and fathom this ... REH and Jane Austen? Is this one of those mash-up attempts to breed one genre with another?

As April Fool's Day jokes propagate on the interwebs, I wonder how many of them will eventually turn from fiction to fact?

Ah ... and here I thought it was a Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunter thing.

Thanks Deuce, good to post to the REH board again. I peruse as a Visitor more often than logging in but always have a spot in the mind for REH and appreciate the insights you and the other REH followers provide here.

Maybe Jane Austen was a descendant of Red Sonja? Had a secret side that went on trips to adventerous lands and kicked some ass. There's a mash-up.

Come ON!  REH and Jane Austen?  Doesn't everybody know it was Arthur Conan Doyle who originated Conan, even using his own middle name for the character?  An unpublished short story, never completed, but REH was a Conan Doyle fan.  When and how he saw the fragment I don't know ...
