Your colouring is way better than mine, I am still trying to undserstand Gimp and the process of colouring. Mines looks like a child loose with markers tbh. Taking classes this year I think to try and master the idea of colouring.

Taking classes is a really good idea to learn to paint... But if you want to get better; the secret is working as hard as you can by your own as well painting classes; and when you think that you have evolutionated; you must to paint once again; that´s the way.

Hi to all again. I´m sorry; I´ve been missing because I´m working now in a new Conan illustration... But meanwhile I´d like to show you another old works while I´m working in my last stuff:

Here´s another recent Solomon Kane concept who has killed a succubus:

Posted Image

This is an old (very) quick sketch about Kreenara; a vanir warrior originallly drawed by Charles Dixon & Ernie Chan:

Posted Image

This is another old concept sketch about King Kull; I created him in a different way I´m used to:

Posted Image

This is Conan having fun:

Posted Image

Another quick concept sketch about Demon in a silvered glass when I didn´t know what to do:

Posted Image

This was the first illustration that I made about Conan five years ago; I really hate the cartoon style on this work:

Posted Image

Conan killing some picts (another sketch from four years ago) :

Posted Image

This is part of my works that I´ve done the past years. Now I´m going to show you the recent stuff I´ve been doing.

A quick concept sketch about a young Conan and Belit. My brother almost kills me when he saw the way I made Belit and I think he´s right:

Posted Image

This is what I´m doing currently now; but I just will show you one quick concept sketch (not the sketches that I finally made)

Posted Image

I made the ultimate sketches recently but I´d like to show to all of you when I finish the next illustration... Hope you like it and thank you to all.

I love the painting style, it sets your work apart.
Under the caverned pyramids great Set coils asleep;
Among the shadows of the tombs his dusky people creep.
I speak the Word from the hidden gulfs that never knew the sun
Send me a servant for my hate, oh scaled and shining One!

Well, at least your latest Solomon Kane doesn't have armor. Is there a story behind the succubus getting his clothes off? I like the expression on his face. His physique looks about right for SK.
"Did you deem yourself strong, because you were able to twist the heads off civilized folk, poor weaklings with muscles like rotten string? Hell! Break the neck of a wild Cimmerian bull before you call yourself strong. I did that, before I was a full-grown man...!" - Conan, in "Shadows in Zamboula", by Robert E. Howard
"... you speak of Venarium familiarly. Perhaps you were there?"
"I was," grunted [Conan]. "I was one of the horde that swarmed over the hills. I hadn't yet seen fifteen snows, but already my name was repeated about the council fires." - "Beyond the Black River", by Robert E. Howard

Hello Mad Playwright; SK (as you say) hasn´t armor because he almost falls into the flesh desires with a woman and he gets off his clothes; but the woman is a succubus and she wants to kill him. But you know This puritan and he will kills first... Just a history of mine.

At first I owe an apology ; I´ve been without updating a few months because I had many problems. From right now I´ll try to update more habitually. I want to show you what I´ve been doing from the last time since I uploaded some of my stuff.

This is my own version of The vampire princess Akivasha from the Robert E. Howard tale "The sacred snake of Seth" . If I´m honest the final result doesn´t satisfies me and in my humble opinion I think that Conan expression is too much younger because when he ran this adventure he could be at 40´s... Well; anyway hope you like it.

Here you can see the expresion of both characters more detailed:

Posted Image

Here you can see more deailed the ceremonial mask that conan wore to walk among the priests:

Posted Image

Finally you can see the pencil versión. I´m really sorry for the bad quality; but my scanner is really crappy; thank you to all for your patience.

As usual, I like your pencil better than the color version. For one thing, in the color version, it is not so obvious that the wall painting is a picture of Akivasha. However, I prefer Conan's expression in the color version, probably because you changed Conan's eyes.
Howard

I am the opposite of Iron, I like your colours alot, vibrant and almost coming out of the page at me. The pencils are too 2D in comparison. The colours add to the overall feel of your style for me I think. :)

Thank you so much Dave; but this last work has been a disaster to me. My illustration program had a malfunction; so I had to complete with another program which I´m not used to do. This work could be better; I will try to gett better next time.

Your art reminds me of Aztec paintings and depictions, something flat but strangely beautiful for me. Weird I know, but the colours same to do the job on filling the pencils out.
