Thanks,Kortoso.it's nice to know that my absence has been noticed, and that my return is appreciated.
Been quite busy lately. As they say, work is the curse of the drinking class.
Been working on some other ideas for the Film part of the site.
Stay tuned for further developments.

Peta Wilson:

Any suggestions for her in the Saga?
She strikes me as,perhaps too introverted for Valeria.
Countess Albiona,maybe?

James Callis:

Any thoughts for parts for him in the Saga?I was thinking about casting him as Prospero.
Also, does anybody see Michale York as the commandant of the doomed outpost in"Beyond the Black River."?
In addition, roles for Val Kilmer and David Birney?

James Callis:

Hans, you may be getting tepid replies to your queries because most people don't have photographic memories. Posted Image

Here's his IMDB entry:

And I think that we can google a picture of him:

John Cena:

I don't follow wrestling at all,and certainly not the WWW,but I have seen this chap on TV-the blurbs for the show-and find him to be a possible candidate for the hero of our Saga?
Any opinions from you people?

Cena would be a perfect younger Conan, he got the body and the face, and he have already "acted" in a movie (The Marine). Otherwise there's plenty friends and foes of the cimmerian available for someone his size ;) (I've seen him quite close on one of his wrestling tours and I can assure you he's big!).

He always carries some sort of belt on his shoulder, he's supposed to have won some sort of "championship" in professional wrestling. I hope nobody believes that it's truly a competitive sport.

On the bright side, his belt looks strangely like the one that Conan is wearing in Frazetta's painting The Frost Giants.

If a wrestler was to be cast as Conan , I would have to vote for Batista. he's more Conan looking to me . Besides i wasted three dollers on The Marine , lots of action but no real acting.

If anyone here wants a new Conan film/series-of-films that are serious in tone - and I think it's fair to say that we all do! - then with all due respect, the last thing you would want to do is cast any American wrestler in the lead role. Especially Cena. Granted the guy has a certain look that could work...but man...for some reason I have visions of the end credits running to the tune of a Cena-penned "Conan rap". 'Nuff said...

Guy Pearce:

Does anyone else him as Vallanus,in "Beyond the Black River"?After having watched him several nights ago in the most recent production of"The Time Machine,"I kept thinking he'd be perfect in the part.Mature, responsible, fit, but also haggard-looking,caringand concerned for the safety of his duties and charges, and thoughtful.

Ach, I was holding out on Frances Barber or Fenella Fielding for Zelata, but Helen Mirren would do fine too.

Guy Pearce is extremely versatile, I could see him in a few Conan roles: Valerius in (A Witch Shall be Born), Amalric (Drums of Tombalku), heck even Prospero. I think he'd make a great Valannus too.

I could only find really tiny pictures of her online, do you have a good pic that you could post? From what I saw, she looks the part.
