Great stuff! I especially like the very first one and the third one in the second post. I am always jealous of those of you that can draw!

The spider queen one is pretty tasty, but the Roman type dress hanging around the dark haired one and the top one with the ship in the back ground.

I personally have been told by my kids and others I can't draw women lol, (my attempt at RED Sonya)

Nice job! Battle scenes certainly aren't easy to draw. I like the color too.

And drawing women can quite inspirational, I find.

I have found lately that when people draw a figure they focus on this and leave the back ground and surrounding area blank. One of the reasons I loved BWS, when he first started on Conan, he filled every space with detail. Others that came after in Conan do not seem to do that as much now. Though you have filled most of your work up with back grounds, good job.

Buscema was really good at that too, imo. For me, it just depends on how much time I want to spend on a given drawing (especially if I'm using color) and if I think a background is necessary to help define the character more. Sometimes I like to just get 'em done quick and move on to the next one. ;)

It's not sword & sorcery or anything like that, but I wanted to post this latest drawing of my wife here with my other works anyway. Hope you like:

I never spend time anymore doing the basic detailing and shading anymore lke this, I should do as it gives you practice in the end. I Like the shading and skin tones with pencil. Now you got me at it drawing the cat, at least he sits still. :)

Thanks, Dave. I don't always get so detailed with the shading, but I find with a portrait that it really helps achieve the likeness of the subject and adds a nice realism to it too.
Yeah, lazy cats would make good models for sure hehe.

Another colored pencil sketch of my drow priestess character. She recently earned her viper whip in our game, so inspiration struck me:
