I searched around a bit online but didn't find what I was looking for. I know Howard was a beefy dude of above average height, but is there a record of his actual height in feet and inches?

H. P. Lovecraft mentions it in his memoir, and I'm pretty sure I've seen it in one of REH's letters as well, but unfortunately I have neither text available at the moment. I think he was 5'11".

I find it awesome that two of my favorite authors, Lovecraft and Howard, were correspondents. I wish they had both known Kenneth Robeson!

Kenneth Robeson was a house pseudonym for Street & Smith. You might be thinking of Lester Dent who wrote the majority of the Doc Savage novels. I once had breakfast with Ryerson Johnson who wrote 2 or 3 Doc Savage novels.

Yeah, I refer to Lester by his pseudonym so often I forgot he had a real name, haha. He is absolutely one of my favorite writers, among other reasons because he (inadvertantly) helped to build superhero comics.
