Huge Atlantean caverns Temple complex.
See several pics. It looks epic and cool.
>> the 5th pic down shows huge feet of a massive statue.
This is clearly inspired by the great JOHN MADDOX ROBERTS
'Conan the Valorous' book.

Please post any bigger pics of this temple complex?

I thought the exact same thing about that statue when I first saw it.
It has some nice references to actual Howard stories - there is even an Am-Ra in there.

Thanks very much for the images.

More screenshots please ?
My guild will be doing a raid in that same area on Saturday morning against what is supposed to be a rather Lovecraftian creature - I will try to get screenshots in between deaths
Edit: We cancelled that raid, but I have a screenshot of another favorite area, The Forgotten Temple, ruins of an ancient Lemurian temple.

And I love to see the various other Temples & Ruins.
Funcom do such marvelous ancient 'Hyborian-World' designs which look superbly atmospheric.
[ i think REH would have loved most of them, too. ]
Thanks very much.
More please?

"... you speak of Venarium familiarly. Perhaps you were there?"
"I was," grunted [Conan]. "I was one of the horde that swarmed over the hills. I hadn't yet seen fifteen snows, but already my name was repeated about the council fires." - "Beyond the Black River", by Robert E. Howard

So if it's a lost Atlantean temple, whose feet are those?
No idea, I don't think it's ever explained. When you look up you can't see much. I know in Conan the Valorous it was supposed to be Crom and someone looked upon its face and had just looked at Conan and was startled - seeming to imply that the statue had Conan's face maybe?
Then again, I suppose Atlanteans would not have had a huge temple like this would they? Maybe I am misremembering...off to look into it.
Edit: It is stated as being an Atlantean ruin but I get the impression the name House of Crom is given to it by the Cimmerians, as it is in Cimmeria.

ah... but is it stone ceiling ?The feet and legs just turn into ceiling - must not be the same place as in Conan the Valorous...
or just an illusion to deter robbers from climbing up and finding the rest of the huge statue of ?? [ crom ?? ]
i like to think that the huge high head will have eyes that shine/glow blue, and a weird big beard full of mythos-tentacles...??
