I don't really keep up with Conan comics other than to read the omnibuses and collections as they come out. I keep hearing that the Queen of the Black Coast run is a reboot of the series.
In what way? I think I heard that Conan was younger than where it was left off in the previous story arc. OK...did they just go back in time a bit, or is it really a reboot.
What constitutes a reboot?

Interesting thing is I think everyone has their own take on the subject! From my perspective, QOTBC was originally presented as just the next in the series of Conan comics under the old name of Conan The Barbarian, following up on Road of Kings. From the first issue it was obvious things were going to be different as things did not match up from the last issue of the previous series to the first issue of this one. Eventually through interviews Brian has given in various sources (and after corrections for some misunderstandings), as far as DH editorial was concerned, the only continuity he had to deal with as a writer was just the one story. So ostensibly anything that has happened in the previous volumes may or may not have happened. I think this'll be put to the test in the current "Return To Cimmeria" (or whatever it's called) arc. How much will refer back to the two previous arcs set there?
Playing off of all that, Conan is not younger per se. But the way Becky and the other artists have decided to portray him and some of the way he is reacting to situations, it can be assumed he's not as experienced as he was as someone who'd led the armies of Khoraja and captained a pirate ship on the Vilayet. But that could change as the series goes along, they may decide to start using some of the older experiences. It's definitely not as cut and dry as "We're starting over", but it's seemingly setting its own course.
Like I said, that's my take on it, other opinions are certainly valid.

It's not a reboot. It is essentially disregarding anything that happenned so far in DH previous issues so far as well as deviating quite a bit from REH.
IMO, this is just taking the characters and general setup from REH and doing whatever with them.
