Hi all, thought I would drop a brief note on the new Robert E.Howard Savage Sword. It has a nice mix of Howard stuff this time around, but one story that sticks out is:

From a Howard story about Bran.

Enjoy.

It was reviewed by one of are own posters, and was wondering if he has reviewed any of the older editions of REH SS so as to compare?

I have reviewed a couple of issues of Savage Sword, but I can only find issue #4. I know we lost some stuff when we changed servers, sooo ....

I liked this adaptation ... the only problem I think I had with it was that it was a little too action-heavy. I wanted to see more gloom and atmosphere instead of just a slug fest.

chrs Zak, always enjoy ur reviews m8, as u don't let them shirk responsibilities to the fans. I enjoyed your recent one with Mr Woods and he seemed to not be as enthusiastic as before, (maybe the work load has him spread thin, (hopefully not hi writing talent spread too thin as his Conan this time around (#7) seemed long drawn out for a 32 page script!). Was it the questions that annoyed him or was he tired. I have read a few of his reviews and he is always up for a good bit of comic banter but not this time around it seemed?

Anyhows, chrs for the old review; every story you liked, I liked and enjoyed more than even Mr Woods Comic so far which I like also. The Ice Lair one was brilliant, well told and drawn. Every page was a dream to turn over and peruse. The Kull story I found was out there with Silver Machine and Hawkwind, and more reminded me of that type of era the 60's and not the 70's lol.

Did you score the comic like the last one 3.5 out of 5? I scored it down on 2 things....the price and the fact it does reprints....mind you the Thomas reprint is brilliant!
