Writer of the Amethyst feature, Christy Marx, is interviewed at
http://www.usatoday....series/1634273/
with several preview pages (only of the Amethyst lead, sadly but understandably) from SWORD OF SORCERY #1, that's due out today.

Here's tease of 1 page:

No lettered preview of the BEOWULF back-up (yet, at least). But here's a stunning spread from #0

from http://marcussour.tu...rd-of-sorcery-0
And there's an interview with all the creators at
http://www.dccomics....rd-of-sorcery-1
with an unlettered BEOWULF page from SoS #1, along with mention of writer Tony Bedard and artist Jesus Sais being huge CONAN fans.

I wonder if Dark Horse should headhunt them for a run on their CONAN series? ;)

Jesús has had a fair amount of Conan work (covers, some sequential art) in Spain, but that was quite a while ago. He's certainly getting better with age.

Thanks for that link, Cromsblood.
"Did you deem yourself strong, because you were able to twist the heads off civilized folk, poor weaklings with muscles like rotten string? Hell! Break the neck of a wild Cimmerian bull before you call yourself strong. I did that, before I was a full-grown man...!" - Conan, in "Shadows in Zamboula", by Robert E. Howard
"... you speak of Venarium familiarly. Perhaps you were there?"
"I was," grunted [Conan]. "I was one of the horde that swarmed over the hills. I hadn't yet seen fifteen snows, but already my name was repeated about the council fires." - "Beyond the Black River", by Robert E. Howard

How is this series doing? True to sword & sorcery? Anyone here picking it up?
