Thanks for the welcome Strom.

I agree, the pricing should keep most from buying duplicate story volumes.

I guess I'm more perturbed at the confusing set of works. It would be nice if the publisher(s) could bring some clarity to the writings. I guess I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the editions & volumes.

Thanks

That's a good point Zamdrist.   I would think for the average impulse buyer he might pickup the Del Rey editions, but to spend the money Wandering Star is asking, then one would hope  some research was done.   But, that may not always be the case.

Welcome to the Forums Zamdrist - hope you enjoy the discussions.   :)

I agree the re-publishing of REH material is a happy thing indeed. I just think it would behoove the reader to beware of duplicative editions with the same stories under different titles. Without close inspection, it would be possible to buy two volumes containing essentially the same material.

I'm not mad - in fact I'm happy!  The limited editions of Wandering Star go for $225

I picked up the Del Rey copy for $10.  Choice between the two volumes is a personal one and I'm happy that more people can afford to be introduced to the masterful talent of Robert E. Howard unedited.

That said, I would love to own the leather bound volumes for $400 plus.   :)
