after reading the excerpts from that REHupa site article the remarks in his published work seem so light and mild (in my opinion basically non-exsistant surprisingly, after reading that) there is really no comparison.. all i can say is im glad he didnt feel the need to (or had the sense not to) incorporate the full depth of this true feelings in his stories..

unfortunately the game wont be like severance: blade of  darkness at all ...
thats what i am so skeptical about.. it wont have the cool interactive, complex sword maneuvers of  blade of darkness, instead relying on an overly simplified combo system that gives you minimal control over the action.... simply tap x,x,x and watch the same 3 hit combos over and over again..

i will give it a chance. probably a rental first and ill see from there.....your right, im teribly pessimistic and skeptical, but we will see whos right and whos wrong once we've played it and the reviews start coming in..hopefully your right....

let me put it another way corwyn....

about 40% of the people ive seen are not happy with the way this game in its current state.

the other 60% is made up of people who are either happy just to have a conan game regardless of its design, or are non-particular 12 year olds who will play the game just because it is there but arent actually conan fans to begin with..

therefore, to reach the broadest possible audience you will want to change the game design  to apeal to the 40% of the people who arent willing to buy it in its current state. you obviously dont have  to worry about apeasing those people that are satisfied with a conan game regardless of its design or the 12 year olds who dont care either way...

this is especially vital when you consider the majority of the hard core conan fans will be in that  40% catagory...

your just trying to make the most possible amount of money with the least possible amount of effort, and while you may walk away happy that your bills are paid, you will not have a jem of a game that will be appreciated and sought after for a long time..

i fail to see the comparison as well....romance novels are characterized by the amount of detail they go into describing love scenes and the emotions attached to those love scenes.... narrative in conan novels puts the focus on describing the blood thirsty action of combat, and usually just elude to events that happen when conan takes the tavern wench up to his room...
