I'm kind of surprised there hasn't been a pastiche where one of Conan's offspring comes to usurp daddy.

Maybe one could be at the head of a mighty Stygian army, the son being the unholy offspring of Conan and a Stygian sorceress, who had her way with him through sorcery to birth a child of awesome physical power and terrible sorcerous energy.  Conan is torn: he is his own flesh and blood, yet he is corrupted by his Stygian upbringing, forsaking Crom for Set?

That'd be really interesting, for a pastiche.

But as I said, I've talked to the folks, and no one is really biting on new Conan books...with him in them anyways.
If this isn't so, lemme know.

MIDNIGHT SUN from Night Shade is a terrific collect...in tales and production quality. These tales shouldn't be missed.

If you consdier yourself a S&S or fantasy fan and have never read these stories, I dunno what to say other than YOU ARE MISSING OUT! THey are strong, bad ass, powerful stuff.

didn't Zenobia die in childbirth to a second daughter?

I had an idea for a lost son of Conan returning to Aquilonia to claim the throne...but no one was biting on new Conan material....so the idea has mutated (oddly enough) into another novel about a different guy :)

Thanks for the endorsement, though B)

Some have asked me why I "put" certain things in tales or books.
Well, honestly, I never set out to see how many nipples I can mention, nor how many heads I can make roll in the grass. The story tells itself. I have no agenda inb that regard. I think most folks bury IDEAS or IDEALS in their work, but I never set out to make it too sexually explicit. Then again, sometimes, I only plan to drink 6 beers... ;)

After I completed a new horror novel, I proudly told my wife, "Hey, dear, NO ONE gets laid in it!" But I never SET OUT to make it so in the beginning.
I think barbarians just do that sorta thing...I guess...since the ideal of Celtic paradise was to fight and fornicate forever.

Beats needlepoint in purgatory...
