I can tell you that Small Filipino men in some of the Islands can Dumog a water buffalo and thats a Animal that weights around 1500lbs and a average Filipino man is probably 5'5..A dumog is a attempt to grab the buffalo around the neck and bring him down to the earth..Why? Because if you can Do that to a Water Buffalo you can do that to a Man..They showed this on the History channel 2 fridays ago. So..As you can see, you don't have to be a over massive person to do this or break a bulls neck..You need leverage and a good grip.

I think even saying he was 6'4 is alittle over the top..Considering that Howard was trying to have a close to historical look at his world and with that him being 6'3 or 6'4 would not be close to real...6 foot is pushing it..Considering the diet he would have to consume in order to even get to 250 or 300lbs.. Not to mention the typical muscle look that conan has on the books and in art is not close to real..Inorder for him to have a body like that he would have to be in the gym 6 days a week and be eating a certain type of diet..Meat and Ale is not gonna get you like that nor is it gonna get you to 300lbs..I have a friend who I train with who is 6'3 and full of muscle and he is no where in the ball park of weight of 300lbs..Conan would have to be so massive it would be unreal...There are also alot of Howards descriptions that mention he is stronger then a normal man and can move like a panther..Being stronger then a Normal man could mean a guy that bench presses 200lbs and moving like a panther is not being 250 to 300 lbs..Figureing that most ppl can't bench press 200lbs a person that could would make them stronger then a normal person.
Your description is someone like Baptista from WWE..Conan would look more like a MMA fighter( lean, Fast, Muscled but not over done cartoon)  then a Over grown Monster from wwe

For a realistic Look at Conan I would give him 6 foot to 6'1 and about 220lbs.

John Cena from the wwe is 6'1 and 230lbs and he is a steroid monster.

If you look at some other better examples of Viking swords besides the one that was placed up there..You can see some things that look the same.
Albion has viking swords that the fathers sword look like. One handed, Short fat blade..Mind you the fathers sword has more of a cartoonish look to it but it looks kinda like a viking sword.

The reason for my question is I was looking at just the idea of the blade. Since Conan would be from the north in the movie..And Christiany did not have a influence on sword style yet..I was thinking it was sopposed to be a very well designed viking sword..
