Full run of color Sunday newspaper strips here, decided to slowly reduce my Conan collection which is quite substantial. I won't sell it all, but you can expect some choice pieces over the next while.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Hey gang,
I was taking a look at my Conan collection and I remembered that I had some of the original comic strips from this period. I did a quick double check, and it seems that I have all of the color ones printed each Sunday from September 10th 1978 to April 12th 1981 from various Texas newspapers (mostly Houston. They were quite a pain to put in order, and I need to figure out a proper method of storing them than in essentially a giant comic book bag that I put together (but it works).
This might not be the right place to ask, and I might get some off-beat answers, but I will hazard it anyway. I though at one time we had a marketplace section? At any rate, what do you folks suppose such a collection of items would be worth, especially in light of these volumes being printed? I know having the original is best even in light of these re-prints. The newspaper itself is not yellowed or brittle at all, being in remarkable shape for something 30 years old captured weekly for nearly four years.
Have any of you seen complete or partial sets for sale before? I've never seen any except when I acquired the set that I do have, which was probably about eight years ago now. This is more for curiosity than anything, and yes, I'm aware that the market sets the value. I would just like to get an idea.
Cheers,
Jason

May there be thousands standing side by side. I too sign my name for an authentic Robert E. Howard Conan film.

I agree, this is going to be a long line of choices....
How about James Preston Rogers...

He has acting experience, and was in consideration for the role of Thor at one point. His natural hair is apparently dark too... he has the right physique without being too body builder-ish.

How about someone who LOOKS like Matthew Willig? Sticking to the football theme...

I've always felt Conan is basically a force of nature, hence the animal descriptions of pantherish.
Please no Roland Kickinger...he's too old at 41 to carry a franchise into the future. Younger is better.
Right now I'm sort of leaning towards the idea of someone who would be at home as a top physical specimen in Special Forces. Hardcore, stamina, survivalist...with an iron will. Maybe a tiny bit like some of the better conditioned UFC fighters.
Either way I'm enjoying the movie discussions, good and bad, coming out of this. We only hope for the best movie we can. Nisping at the helm and Malmberg offering some placating words....
