I am deeply saddened to hear the news this morning. I read and reread his first novel The Rats as a ten year old boy back in 1974 and I have been a fan of his ever since. My thoughts and sympathy go out to his family, friends and legion of fans of which I am but one. R.I.P. James.

There is currently an exhibition of pulp fiction art on at the Syracuse University’s Palitz Gallery on the Upper East Side of Manhattan until April 12th.
