I guess this one leads up to the end of RT's run so it would fill a nice hole in my collection. Should I bother with any beyond this?  I don't particulary enjoy the post RT Savage Sword issues prior to Chuck Dixon (other than the art)

Hey gang, I've decided I can't justify buying SSOC vol 13 as I own most of those in trades already, so I've been looking into some other illustrated Conan to tide me over till vol 14. 

I haven't paid much attention to the chronicles series as I'd read most of the stories up till 100 in reprints. But I was thinking about getting this volume and the next as they feature Roy Thomas stories.

As this thread is pretty old I just wanted to ask about this volume in terms of quality, etc.  And your opinions on the chronicles in general. thanks.

I was checking to see if there was an "angle" that skull-face had. You know like how Fu Manchu always had a plan eg. use a right-wing organization to get himself "elected" president or poison the water supply of London, etc.

It looks like Skull-face never had a plan, per se. At least one that he was dumb enough to reveal to the protagonists.

yeah, I had had a look before asking. I just couldn't find the "Dr Evil" style moment where Skull-face reveals his plan. I know he wants to take over the world like any self-respecting super-villain. I just couldn't find the "big reveal" where he shows how he intends to win. It's probably there I just couldn't find it.

A bit of help requested.  

I read Skull-face awhile back but can't find my copy. Can anyone give me a quick synopsis of Skull-face's evil plot? What was his scheme and how did he plan to achieve his goal? Or can somebody point me to a review that deals with the "evil scheme"?
