The journey began with Marvel comics Conan the Barbarian #39, then on to the Lancer paperbacks. Now I guess after 40 years you could say Conan is a part of me, but then again I guess all of Howard's works holds a special place within my imagination.
I guess you could say I'm part of the third wave of Conan fans. The pulp years were well before me, so was the Gnome hardbacks and early fanzine years of the 1950s and 60s. I'm part of the 1970s comic/Lancer book wave.
On a personal note I have been self employed all my life, a true entrepreneur if you like. Life has been good and bad, but always interesting. I enjoy scuba-diving, hiking, spelunking and fast cars. Just a average person looking for something new.
