Look if it came down to having a Scotch/Irish accent or having a good actor, I'm picking the actor; but any good actor worth their salt should be able to pull off any accent they want. If Marcus Nispel is trying to make a Conan that is loyal to REH then I think a variant on the Scotch/Irish accent is the way to go. Personally, I enjoy minor details like that; it makes me feel like the people in charge are taking it seriously instead of half-assing some generic dumb barbarian that is good for nothing other than a sword arm. It also breaks the new Conan character further away from the Milius Conan. This is all just one man's opinion though; I'm an all or nothing type of guy. If this movie isn't great then I'll consider it a failure and dream of what could have been.

Will you be giving Conan a proper Scottish accent?
