Hi there, new on this forum, longtime fan of Conan and (recently) other Howard characters, most recently Solomon Kane! (I always try to read the book before any film comes out)

I'm posting here because I need a bit of help with a project. I'm looking for someone who has one of the actual Father's sword replicas from Albion because I want to get the writing from the blade as a tattoo. I'm not going use writing from images that I find on the net due to distortion, angle, and all that, especially since this is something that's going to be permanent. I want it to be as close to the actual as possible.

What I'm looking for, essentially, is a rubbing of the text from an authentic Albion replica of the Father's sword itself. That way I can have as accurate as possible a working copy, complete with text spacing, height, other graphic details, and all.

With that I can have my tattoo artist use it as a stencil and then do his work. If anyone is interested, I also wouldn't mind posting pics of the results once it's done.

I've been wanting to do this for a while now. The film, the stories, the character of Conan, and more, all have been a strong influence in my life, for the past, oh, 15+ years or so (I'm in my 30's). My best friend (also an avid fan) basically said it best when he stated one day, after someone asked him why he liked Conan so much, that "Conan was there for him when his father wasn't." I'm sure some of you get what he means by that - I sure did.

This is just one way of honoring it for me.

If anybody can help me with this, either by helping me get a rubbing from the Father's sword or pointing me in the right direction, I'd truly appreciate it.
