Oh, one more thing-I think Conan's sole line of dialogue on page 2, while completely and totally out of character, speaks for a lot of us...

Here here, More sulking, despairing, and pining from Wood. It's nice to see Conan 'remember who he is' for a moment, but it's hard to tell from the preview whether it was a futile attempt at escaping or merely a fantasy in Conan's mind. Either way, disappointing.

I really like this issue, and will echo the same praise it's getting from all here. I do admit, though, that my heart sank when I saw it was 1 of 6, as I was under the impression this adaptation would be done in 12 issues. 

 

It will be 12 issues; two miniseries, numbered 1-6 each.  I'm not sure why they're doing it like that, but they are.

I'm just glad someone finally stepped up to the plate and opened a thread about this subject.

Perhaps because of this, for me issue #1 felt a little rushed here and there. I also think the design for Xaltotun should have been less burly, but I supposed that's just a nitpick.
