Hour Of The Dragon (DHC)
30 July 2012 - 04:49 PM
So, when is Hour of the Dragon gonna be adapted? This semester? Who is working on this title?
I hope Tim Truman and Giorello steps in because the new team is leaving something (big) to be desired.
To be sincere, I really wish another team to adapt HotD because it`s been now so many years, that I`d like something new to begin. But, since the new team working on Queen is not pleasing most of fans here, including me, I think the best choice is for Giorello and Truman to work on this adaptation. You never know what choices Dark Horse may come up with.
Can`t wait for it to begin. I won`t be buying Conan anytime soon. At least until this new artist Lolos steps out and the Cimmerian arch is through.

Are You Willing To Pay For A Deluxe SSOC Edition?
25 May 2012 - 08:23 PM
I`ve been navigating on Amazon.com and I found out that the Creepy Archives and Eerie Archives are selling fairly well and the editions are all hardcover, with slick, shiney paper and original format.
Recently, here in Brazil, Mythos has published a special edition of Conan called "The Liberator" including all stories that were published in the old SSoC that told how Conan became the king of Aquilonia (Beyond the Black River, The Treasure of Tranicos, among others). This edition was also a hardcover book, with slick paper, 500+ pages and gigantic format (bigger than the original SSoC). Here is a pick:

It is selling quite well among fans in Brazil and I`m wondering why Dark Horse didn`t want to realease such editions.
It is a shame because the new run of reprinted SSoC material is something not to be kept along the years, unfortunately.
So, I was wondering if you guys would be willing to pay for such a deluxe series, including hardcover editions, slick paper, original format, covers in full color... How about that? Would it have any chance to be a sucess?

Dave Stewart will keep doing the color duties. Yes!
BTW, this cover kicks ass.

Conan the Barbarian #4
Conan’s adventures in Messantia ended with the Cimmerian nearly losing his head, but now that he has an entire pirate crew backing him up, returning to take a city’s worth of gold is just too tempting—and pirate queen Bêlit has a plan!
* Writer Brian Wood begins a new story arc with artist James Harren!
“James Harren’s art echoes the old EC horror masters while still managing to be current. The motion of the action is superb on every page and it is ably matched by the character moments in between.”—Comic Book Resources
